Saturday 19th April
I had a truly excellent birthday! The morning of my birthday I spent with Kester. He woke me up all excited and pulled my present out of its hiding place. He got me an 8 gig MP4 Walkman player and a new set of headphones. Kester had already put my music onto it so I could play with it immediately! Also on there is an amazing video that Kester and Thlayli had made with a birthday message on it.
Then, unfortunately, Kester had to go to work. Then I spent the rest of the day with my family. Most of my cards etc were at my parent’s house so I got to open those when I got there. I got some gorgeous cards featuring bunnies, kittens and handbags. I also received an amazing card by a fab girlie! It was hand made and featured a mermaid at the beach!!! So cool!!!
Then I went over to my Nan’s and had a great chat with her (I don’t do this enough!). Then two of my sisters came round with a gorgeous little boy in tow. I’m a very proud aunty!
For my birthday dinner we ordered in a curry, they made me a chicken-free tikka masala to order and it was lurvely! Although in typical Kirsty fashion I managed to spill loads of rice all over the floor, oops!
After dinner was time for my cake. It had ladybirds on it hooray! My Mum said she tried everywhere for a cake with mermaids, fish or rabbits on but couldn’t find one anywhere. But my ladybird cake was great!
Sunday 20th April
Kester and I stayed in bed being lazy until early afternoon until we finally decided to get up and go out for a Sunday lunch so we could spend the time together that we missed on my birthday. Then we searched several garages to find the recently released St. Trinians DVD. I loved the film when I saw it at the cinema and already bought the soundtrack so I had to buy it. I used some of my birthday money to pay for it.
Monday 21st April
Today I had my most recent tattoo appointment. First of all my oscar was finished and, wow, he looks just gorgeous! When he was all finished a start was made on my anchor which is on my chest, between my boobs. Definitely the most painful session to date. When I next go back I’ll get it finished but I can already see how amazing the final result will be!
Also there is now a piercer at Midnight Tattoo so I spent some of my birthday money and got my conch pierced. It ached for a period of time afterwards but it’s a piercing I’ve been waiting several years to finally get!
An excellent 3 days!
